"Luncheon of the Boating Party", painted in 1881 by French impressionist Pierre-Auguste Renoir, is housed in The Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C. The painting depicts a group of Renoir's friends relaxing on a balcony at the Maison Fournaise along the Seine river in Chatou, France.

Welcome! This blog is intended to record my journey and musings through the creative world of art. My goal and hope is to explore ideas and techniques and push myself beyond my current comfort zone with my artwork - also, to record ideas and items that I find interesting along the way... Any of you who wish to comment or join me while pursuing your own art interests and exploration are more than welcome to visit here...
